Technical Oversight & IT Project Assurance
Running an IT project through an external supplier but need a technical partner to watch quality and deadlines? We oversee architectural decisions, code review and acceptance testing on your behalf.
Your technical eyes and ears on the project
Commissioning a software project from an external agency or freelancer is risky without technical oversight. Quality shortcuts are hard to spot from the outside, and by the time problems become visible they're expensive to fix. We act as your independent technical representative — ensuring the supplier delivers what they promised, to the quality you need.
What we oversee
Architecture review
We review and challenge architectural decisions before they're locked in. Scalability, security and future maintenance cost are all considered.
Code review
Regular code reviews at key project milestones. We identify technical debt, security vulnerabilities and quality issues while there's still time to address them.
Acceptance testing
We define acceptance criteria and test deliverables against them. You don't sign off until the delivered software actually does what was specified.
Delivery monitoring
We track milestone progress, review sprint deliverables and escalate early when a deadline looks at risk — rather than finding out at the final deadline.
Frequently asked questions
Won't the supplier feel micromanaged?
Good suppliers welcome independent technical oversight — it aligns incentives and removes ambiguity. We frame our involvement as quality assurance for all parties, not adversarial inspection.
At what project stage should we bring you in?
Ideally at the start — before the specification is signed. But we can add value at any stage, including reviewing a partially completed project or assessing what you're about to accept.
